Before
I bought the Yoback about a year ago because of plantar fasciitis. I'd been looking into it online and an ad came up on Instagram. It felt like a cheaper option than going down the physio route, so I thought, why not give it a go.
"Cheaper than trying physio, so might as well give it a go."
The Turning Point: Why Yoback?
I saw an Instagram ad, likely served up after I'd searched for plantar fasciitis information online, that was what first put it in front of me. The cost comparison against physio was the deciding factor.
The Change: Life After Yoback
A year on, I'm still using it, for the plantar fasciitis routine from the little booklet, but also for a lot more than I expected. I'm quite short, so when I'm sitting doing bits of marking, I like having it under my feet at the desk. I've noticed I just automatically do toe stretches on it without even thinking about it any more; it's become one of those habits I don't have to consciously choose to do.
"I find I'm automatically just doing the toe stretches all the time as well... I find it really helpful for that."
I keep one in the kitchen, by the kettle, so it's genuinely part of the routine rather than something I have to remember, and another out in the front room. I don't use the full wheel configuration much, and the heel raise squats are the one exercise I still can't quite get right; I think I'm just not placing my feet correctly. I've also been using a running app alongside it for strength and stability work, and my running has improved over the year, though I couldn't say exactly how much came from the Yoback versus everything else.
What I'd really like is a proper follow-along routine video rather than separate exercise clips: something I can just do along with, rather than having to keep pausing to check I've got it right.
