After around 12 weeks of plantar fasciitis (PF) I was increasingly desperate to find a solution, but extremely dubious of claims made for insoles or ‘just try this simple daily hack….’! Fortunately, I came across the Yoback Lite!
After an unsuccessful knee operation some years ago, I was forced to give up running and road cycling became my passion, riding fairly hard and for lots of miles (>10,000mi) in a year. Cycling is undemanding of the calf and of foot, with stiff cycling shoes transferring power through to the pedals. I like to complement my cycling with walking and this was going well until I developed PF.
I tried numerous strategies from on-line ‘experts’, including calf stretching and calf raises in addition to a muscle gun and icing. Over time, the stretching became more advanced and regularly felt like progress was being made only for a short walk to the shops to undo all the gains.
I’ve been using the Yoback Lite (YL) for seven days, amounting to 15 mins twice per day and whilst I’ve yet to brave a longer walk, the PF is almost completely resolved and I’m increasingly confident that the YL is the difference that has made the difference!
Firstly, with no effort, the YL enables a deeper stretch of the calf, soleous and ankle than I’ve ever managed. Combined with the exercises for the dorsiflexion of the big toe, the sole of the foot and the calf raise, the YL has very effectively hit all the areas that my be the root cause of my PF.
The YL goes even further in easily enabling a better stretch of the, more heavily utilised in cycling, gluteal muscles.
The YL is a quality product (look, feel, materials) is very portable and so very easy to use! I’ve gone from increasingly desperate to delighted! I very highly recommend the product for far more than runners!
